This tutorial assumes you are already logged into WHM.
Click on the SSL/TLS link.
Getting your own domain specific SSL CERTIFICATE installed and working properly is a three step process:
1. Generate a request
2. Purchase an SSL certificate
3. Install the certificate
Click the GENERATE A SSL CERTIFICATE AND SIGNING REQUEST link.
In this table, you must enter information about the domain name for which the certificate is requested. Enter an EMAIL ADDRESS where the certificate request information should be sent.
Enter the DOMAIN NAME the certificate will be fore.
The rest of the information on the form describes who the certificate is for, and will be displayed within the certificate.
Complete the rest of the form.
When finished, click the CREATE button.
Step 1 is now complete. You’ve just generated a CERTIFICATE SIGNING REQUEST (CSR) and a KEY, both of which are encrypted.
This information would also have to be emailed to the email address provided on the previous page, and will be needed later when you install the certificate.
The next step is to PURCHASE A CERTIFICATE. This cannot be demonstrated in this tutorial. You have to go to an SSL CERTIFICATE VENDOR to purchase the certificate. They will require the CERTIFICATE SIGNING REQUEST generated in Step 1.
Once you have successfully purchased the certificate, you must return here to INSTALL it (Step 3).
Click the INSTALL A SSL CERTIFICATE AND SET UP DOMAIN link.
This screen is where you install your newly purchased SSL CERTIFICATE.
The DOMAIN, USER and IP ADDRESS boxes may automatically fill when you paste your certificate in, but if not enter the information manually.
Next paste the KEY from Step 1. If required, the CA BUNDLE should be copied and pasted in its designated spot.
Next, click the SUBMIT button.
Your SSL Certificate should now be installed.
